“Testimony Service is Open!”
Scripture: Psalm 26:7, NKJV

“That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works.”

Devotion:
Picture it. Church on a Friday night in the mid 1990s. What kind of service was it? Testimony service! I vividly remember the “praise conductor” as we called them, would tap the bell and say, “Testimony service is now open!” Before they could get the sentence out good, 2-3 people would always start at the same time! As a kid, I would laugh because I was wondering, why were they so excited to testify? Now that I’m older, I understand! God is GOOD, and because He is good, we must tell of His goodness in our lives. Today’s text reminds me of these fiery testimony services. Where people couldn’t tell it all, but they would tell of the goodness of the Lord. It didn’t matter how great or small the matter was, God came through and that’s all that matters. Even though we don’t have testimony services like we used to, we can still share His goodness throughout our day and proclaim all of His wondrous works in our lives. In other words, “Testimony service is ALWAYS open!”

Prayer:
Jesus, we thank You for Your goodness towards us. We can’t help but share the good news with anyone who will listen, because You do such wondrous works in our lives each day. We will forever proclaim Your goodness to all people. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
