“Honoring God with Gratitude”
Scripture: 1 Chronicles 29:13, AMP

“Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name.”

Devotion:
This verse captures a moment of heartfelt worship from King David as he and the people of Israel gave generously toward the building of God’s temple. True thanksgiving begins with that same realization: everything we have is a gift from Him. Our strength, resources, opportunities, and even the breath in our lungs are all expressions of God’s grace. When we acknowledge this truth, gratitude naturally flows from our hearts to our lips.

David’s prayer shows us that thanksgiving and praise go hand in hand. Gratitude recognizes God’s goodness; praise magnifies His greatness. Together, they honor the One who provides, sustains, and blesses us beyond measure. As we reflect on our blessings today, let’s follow David’s example. Let us thank God not only for what He has done, but also for who He is—faithful, generous, and glorious in all His ways.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You and praise Your glorious name today.  May my thanksgiving rise to You daily, not just in words, but through a life that reflects Your goodness and grace. I give You glory and praise for who You are—faithful, holy, and worthy of all honor. In Jesus Name, Amen!
