“A Sacrifice of Thanksgiving”
Scripture: Psalm 107:22, AMP

“And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And speak of His deeds with shouts of joy!”

Devotion:
In this verse, the psalmist calls God’s people to offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, reminding us that giving thanks is sometimes a deliberate choice, not just a spontaneous response. There are moments when gratitude feels easy, but there are also times when it requires faith. That’s when thanksgiving becomes a sacrifice—a gift we offer to God even when circumstances seem difficult. When we thank God in the midst of challenges, we are declaring that He is still good, still faithful, and still worthy of praise.

The verse also calls us to speak of His deeds with shouts of joy. Gratitude is not meant to be silent—it’s meant to be shared. When we testify of God’s goodness, our thanksgiving encourages others and magnifies the Lord. Our joyful praise becomes a living witness of His mercy and power. So today, when your heart is full or heavy, choose to offer God your sacrifice of thanksgiving. Lift your voice, remember His works, and let joy overflow. There is power in a thankful heart—it draws us closer to God and fills our lives with His peace.

Prayer:
Lord, Teach me to give thanks in every season. Let my words and my worship testify to Your goodness. Help me remember all the ways You’ve delivered, provided, and sustained me. May my heart overflow with gratitude, and may my praise bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
