“Gratitude in All We Do”
Scripture: Colossians 3:17, AMP

“Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Devotion:
In this verse, Paul reminds believers that everything we do—every word spoken, every task completed—should be done in the name of Jesus and with a heart of thankfulness. Gratitude transforms ordinary actions into acts of worship. When we live with thanksgiving, our perspective changes. Gratitude keeps our hearts humble and our spirits joyful, helping us recognize God’s hand in every part of our day. This kind of thankfulness isn’t limited to good times; it’s an anchor in every season. Whether in success or struggle, thanksgiving declares, “God, You are worthy, and I trust You.” So today, let’s do everything—speaking, serving, giving, and living—with thankful hearts, knowing that every breath is a gift from God and every moment an opportunity to glorify Him.

Prayer:
Lord, Thank You for the gift of today and for the countless blessings You place in my life—both seen and unseen. Teach me to see Your goodness in every circumstance and to give thanks not only when things go well, but even when life feels uncertain. I choose to live with gratitude, trusting that You are working all things out for my good and Your glory.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
