“Exalting God with Thanksgiving”
Scripture: Psalm 69:30, AMP

“I will praise the name of God with song and magnify Him with thanksgiving.”

Devotion:
Gratitude is one of the purest forms of worship. In this verse, David declares his intention to praise God—not in response to a perfect situation, but in the midst of hardship. Psalm 69 is actually a cry for deliverance; yet, even while feeling overwhelmed, David turns his heart toward thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is not dependent on circumstances—it’s an act of faith.

When we choose to magnify God through thanksgiving, we shift our focus from our struggles to His strength, from our lack to His abundance, and from fear to faith. Gratitude enlarges our view of God’s goodness and reminds us that He is worthy of praise in every season. As we enter this season of thanksgiving, let us intentionally lift our voices like David. True thanksgiving flows from a heart that remembers His faithfulness and trusts His plans, even when the path ahead is unclear.

Prayer:
Lord, Thank You for Your steadfast love and endless mercy. As I lift my voice in thanks, may others see Your light through me. I will praise Your name with song and magnify You with thanksgiving, for You alone are worthy of all glory and honor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
