“Power in Prayer"
Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1, NIV
 
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people”

Devotion:
If there was ever a time for the people of God to unite in prayer it is now. The Bible is being fulfilled daily, and we are living in difficult times. But God! God has given us the key to unlock the healing and restoration this world needs. It is found when His people rightfully are in their place spiritually, diligently seeking His face, and praying. Today’s Scripture encourages the people of God to pray for all people, especially those in leadership positions. If we want to see change, we need to stop talking about how bad things are, and we need to begin to cry loud and spare not. We must pray until we see God’s kingdom come, and we see His will be done!

God’s Word let us know we should pray without ceasing. That means that we can’t stop praying, and we can’t stop interceding. We can’t stop praising, and we can’t stop crying out to God on behalf of our brothers and sisters. He inhabits the praises of His people. We were created to give God praise. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want a rock crying out for me. God is worthy of ALL the praise, ALL the glory, and ALL the honor!

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the power found in prayer, praise, and worshiping You. Help me seek You the more in all that I say and do. Consecrate this flesh so Your will can continue to be done in my life. Amen.
