“Offering Thanks”
Scripture: Leviticus 22:29, NIV
 
“When you sacrifice a thank offering to the Lord, sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf.”
 
Devotion:
When we think about a sacrificial offering, we usually attach a monetary value to it, however in today’s Scripture we are talking about an offering just as valuable, our praise. There is no way we could repay the Lord for all He has done for us, there is no way we could earn the gift of salvation. We didn’t deserve it, nor were we worthy. But God loved us so much He did it just for us. The least we can do is offer God our praise and thanks for His goodness, grace, mercy, and love toward us. The least we can do is open our mouths and honor the author and finisher of our faith.

Take a few minutes this morning and think about God's track record in your life, and I am sure you can say that God has never failed you. Pastor Samu-el always says, “thanking is for thinking people.” When I take the time and look back over my life and how God has shown up and showed out for me, all I can say is thank You Lord! God You are worthy of all the praise, glory, and honor!

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for all You have done for us. We don’t take it lightly, and we offer You the praise, the glory, and honor that is due to You. Amen.
