“Faith in Waiting”
 Scripture: Mark 11:24

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
 
Devotion:
In this Scripture Jesus teaches a lesson on believing and expecting that what we ask for will come to pass. When we pray, our prayers must be filled with faith. We should not be praying out of habit or passively hoping that what we desire God may provide.  Jesus said in this Scripture to believe that we receive them and ye shall have them.  This means we must trust God to answer our prayers before we receive His answer – yes, even when we don’t see the results yet; for example when you receive and unfavorable diagnosis, like “you have cancer” yes it may feel like the ground has dropped below you – but…..know that God is in Control! When fear tries to overtake us, we have to look to hills, from whence cometh our help – don’t stop praying and believing. We must trust that God hears us, loves us, and He is working through the journey. Believe that your healing is on the way. With His stripes we are healed.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to pray with faith, not fear. Remind us that You are a good good Father who hears and answers our prayers. Teach us to trust Your timing, Your will, and Your wisdom. even when we can’t see the outcome yet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
