“Just Do It!”
Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:2, NLT

“Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.”

Devotion:
Everyone is familiar with the clothing brand Nike. They had a slogan that simply said, “Just Do It.” My opinion is that they came up with the slogan to encourage people to buy their products, but also to do those things that you need or want to do. Looking at today’s Scripture, their slogan came to my mind. Preaching God’s Word is not something that should be taken lightly. God’s Word or Will is not concerned with our personal feelings. There are times when we must preach God’s Word and it won’t be received well. But if we are consistent with preaching, correcting, and encouraging each other with compassion, then God will handle the rest. In other words, JUST DO IT.

Prayer:
God, we thank You for Your Word. While it may not feel good, we know it’s for our good. Help us to continue to preach and live Your Word each day of our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
