Daily Devotional - Vision - Week 43 - Day 293 - 10/20/25 - "Who Sent You?"

“Who Sent You?
Scripture: Romans 10:15, NIV

“And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Devotion:
Today it seems that everyone has a “Word” from God. More often than not, it really isn’t God that’s speaking, but rather the individual’s desire to appear that they are in relationship with God. We as people of God must know and recognize when it is our Father speaking versus something that He didn’t say. In instances like that, we should ask them, “Who sent you?” Reason being, the only way that someone can preach the Word of God is if they are actually sent by God. And if they are sent by God, then based on today’s Scripture, their feet are beautiful because they carry the good news of God! It is my experience that whenever someone speaks a word, they should be confirming what God has already placed on your heart and in your spirit. Keep that in mind the next time someone tries to preach something that doesn’t sound right. And remember to ask them, “who sent you?” While we commemorate Clergy Appreciation Month, let’s celebrate the mighty leaders that we are blessed with. They bring forth the Word of God because they are sent by God to give us the good news of His everlasting love. Oh the joy that floods our hearts when our leaders speak the Word of God.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for Your Word. Knowing that we have leaders who were sent by You to bring the good news of Your greatness is a comforting feeling. We ask that You continue to show favor on our leaders and keep their ears and hearts open to continue to hear from You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
