“Power, Love and Sound Mind”
Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Devotion:
Fear is one of the greatest weapons used in domestic violence. It isolates. It silences. It convinces victims they have no power, no worth, and no way out. Fear becomes a prison—one that feels impossible to escape. But God speaks a different word. Fear does not come from God. His Spirit brings freedom, not bondage. His love drives out fear—not feeds it.
And in place of fear, God gives us three powerful gifts:
-Power - God gives you the power to speak, to leave, to heal, and to overcome.
-Love - God's love is pure, healing, and unconditional.
-Sound Mind - God offers clarity, peace, and truth. A sound mind is rooted in knowing who you are in Him: valued, chosen, and worthy of respect and safety.

God has given you power, love, and a sound mind. These are not just promises for the future—they are truths you can walk in now.

Prayer:
Lord God, You are the God who gives—not fear, but power, love, and a sound mind. Thank You for being the God who heals what others have broken. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
