“Hear My Cry”
Scripture: Psalm 5:3, NIV
 
"In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

Devotion:
There is something special about seeking God at daybreak, early in the morning, before you start the hustle and bustle of your day and let the cares of this world interfere with your peace. It’s not always easy to pull yourself out of bed and do it, but it’s definitely worth it. If you’ve attended a sunrise service, an 8am service, or worshiped God at the start of your day, there is a certain peace and calm in putting God first and letting Him know, Lord, I am earnestly seeking You before I seek anything else. When we put God first and begin our day in His presence, I believe He shows up for us and gives us the strength we need to make it through our day with joy and peace in our hearts. There is power, peace, and purpose in putting God first. When we diligently seek His face, God will hear our cry!

Prayer:
Lord, help us seek You at the start of our day. Help us stay focused on You and not the cares and distractions of this world. We give You all the glory and the praise. Amen.
