“A Better Day is Coming”
 Scripture: Revelation 19:6-7
 
"And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready."

Devotion:
Paul described in this Scripture the thunderous cry of Hallelujah from the multitude in heaven, declaring that the Lord God Almighty reigns. The profound worship was to recognize God’s ultimate power and control over all things.  Then he announced the coming of the marriage of the Lamb, the great day when Christ is united with His Bride, the Church.  

While we wait for that great day when we will meet our Bridegroom – Jesus Christ, we must prepare ourselves by spending time in His Word, rejoicing because He reigns and He is sovereign, demonstrating our love for Him through our actions, and spreading the Word to those who don’t yet know Him as their personal savior.
 
John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. So, no matter what trials we face, this shows us that we serve a forgiving and loving God, and we, who believe in Him, will be welcomed into eternal life with Him. To God be all the Glory!

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for preparing a place for us, for inviting us into the most joyful celebration of all, the marriage supper of the Lamb. Help us to live with the mind that we will reign with You forever. Guide us so that we will stay faithful and devoted to You.  Prepare our hearts and remind us that no matter what we face today, a greater day is coming. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
