“Heaven Rejoices”
Scripture: Luke 15:10
 
"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinnerthat repenteth."

Devotion:
In this Scripture, Jesus is teaching on the value of the lost being found. As we continue to read the chapter, His parable specifically speaks about the lost sheep, lost coin, and lost son (the prodigal son). Jesus emphasized here how heaven rejoices when even one sinner repents. It shows us that God values every single soul.

We as His children must have a heart to rejoice when our brothers and sisters in Christ repent and come back into the fold. It is not about perfection, because none of us are, but it is about turning back to Him. Let’s remember to encourage ourselves and others that God loves us and we are never too far gone for Him to accept us back to Him. Rejoice as heaven rejoices!

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for loving us so deeply that even when we walk in our own way, You wait with open arms. Thank You for the joy You express when we turn back to You. Help us to never forget that our repentance matters, not just to us, but to all of heaven. Give us a heart that rejoices when our backslidden brothers and sisters return to You as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
