“The Peace of God”
Scripture: Romans 5:1, NLT

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”

Devotion:
When we were living in sin, we had no hope. While some of us may have enjoyed the sin that we were committing, there still was a feeling of emptiness and defeat that would overtake us. This is due to the guilt that came from not allowing God to be the head of our lives. There was a spirit of unrest and chaos that had us at the brink of losing our minds. But one day, God saw fit to save us from that life of sin, because we had enough faith to believe that He could. And since we had the faith to confess salvation, it allowed us to be right with God. Since we are right with God, we gain the peace of God. When we experience the peace of God, we realize that it’s not our own doing but all that God has done for us.

Prayer:
God, we thank You for Your grace and mercy. We know that it is because of Your faith in us, we have peace of mind. You have done so many marvelous things for us! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
