“Good Benefits”
Scripture: Psalm 29:11
“The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.”
Devotion:
There are certain benefits that come when we purchase certain subscriptions, knowing people in high places, or even working for the right company. While these benefits are definitely needed and appreciated, there is nothing like the benefits of God. Totally surrendering our lives to Him comes with certain benefits that we can utilize at any time. In today’s text, the writer reminds us that God Himself gives strength to all of His people. I don’t know about you, but I would take the strength of God ANY DAY of the week. Not only that, but God blesses His people with peace. What a beautiful thing. These two benefits serve as the basis for all other blessings that come from God: strength and peace.
Prayer:
God, we thank You for Your Word and the reminders You give us of strength and blessings. Help us to continue to obey Your commandments and walk boldly in the plan that You have for our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
