“Sweet Peace”
Scripture: Isaiah 26:3, NLT

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

Devotion:
There’s a song entitled “Peace” by Bethel Music that I tend to gravitate to when that feeling of overwhelm tries to rear its ugly head in my life. Part of the lyrics says, “I remember who You are, You’re the God who's never far.” WHEW!! Those words came to my mind when looking at today's Scripture. God clearly says He will give us perfect peace as long as we keep our minds and thoughts on Him. In other words, as long as we remember who He truly is and how He has never left our side, we will always have sweet peace. That gentle comfort in knowing that Our God is never too far that He can’t reach us, never too tired that He can’t watch over us, never too busy that He can’t get to us. That is the benefit of knowing the Almighty God for ourselves. So remember my brothers and sisters, that God is never too far from us. Let’s keep our eyes, hearts, and minds fixed on Him and He will continue to give us sweet peace!

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for sweet peace. Having confidence in You is a comforting feeling. You always have our best interests in mind. Continue to remind us to never forget that You are never far from us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
