“Fullness of Joy”
Scripture: Psalm 16:11

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Devotion:
Every person longs for certain things – joy, peace, stability and so much more. The world offers temporary fixes and substitutes which don’t satisfy, but the Scripture on today tells of the source of our satisfaction – the presence of God. God is not hiding His way from us—He desires to lead us. His path isn’t just a direction, it’s a relationship. And when we walk in that path, we discover something this world cannot offer: the fullness of joy.

Joy isn’t found in the absence of trouble but in the presence of God. With Him, we are filled with joy – it overflows in us, satisfies us and strengthens us. The Scripture also tells us where to find it – at His right hand, the place of power, nearness, and eternal goodness. So today, stop and draw near. Rest in His presence. Let Him lead you on the path of life, and find that every desire of the heart is ultimately fulfilled in Him.

Prayer:
Lord, You are the source of all true joy and eternal pleasure. Forgive me for the times I’ve looked to other things or people to satisfy the deep places of my soul. Draw me closer to You today, and help me to stay near Your right hand, where the sweetest pleasures are found. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
