“God’s Love Poured into Us!”
Scripture: Romans 5:5, NIV
 
“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Devotion:
Today’s Scripture lets us know God poured His love into us, and because God poured His love into us through the Holy Spirit, our hope cannot be put to shame. When God redeemed us back to Him through Jesus, He had a perfect plan in mind. Jesus rose with ALL power and returned to the Father, but He didn’t stop there. He let us know; I will not leave you comfortless; I am going to send you a Comforter. That Comforter is the Holy Spirit. We literally have access to stay connected and in communion with God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The key is we have to rely on God’s power to lead and guide us daily. We have to stay connected, listen, and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. God's Spirit living inside us, not our own strength and power, keeps us and allows us to live a sanctified life that exemplifies God’s love. In the same way that God poured His love into us, we should pour it into others. If your love meter has been running low lately, tap into the power of the Holy Spirit and ask God to fill you up until it overflows!

Lord, thank You for pouring out Your love into us; help us pour that same love out to others. Amen.
