“Life and Favor!”
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:10, NLT

“But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.”

Devotion:
John P. Kee, a famous gospel artist, came out with a song some years ago entitled, “Life and Favor.” In the song, it says, “I’m delivered, here’s my story, life and favor, He brought me out.” When considering today’s Scripture, these lyrics come to mind. Paul is affirming to the Corinthian church that it is nothing but God’s favor and grace that he is able to do the work for the Kingdom. It is a clear reminder to us that we are also favored by God; it's nothing but His grace that allows us to operate or work in the Kingdom. We all know the past of Apostle Paul, and while he may have regrets, he can boldly walk in his deliverance because God’s favor and grace delivered him. The same is said for us. We all have a past, but God saw past all of that and gave us the opportunity to walk in our deliverance through the grace of God. How refreshing it is to know that He doesn’t hold our past against us, but rather works through us!

Prayer:
God thank You for Your favor and grace! It never runs out on us. It’s only by this, that we are able to proclaim true deliverance from our past. You never hold it against us, but rather see our potential and work through us. Continue to refresh our minds, dear Lord to never forget the favor and grace that You bestow upon us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
