“Prepared For Good Works”
Scripture: Ephesians 2:10, AMP

“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”

Devotion:
You are not an accident. You are God’s workmanship—His masterpiece. That truth alone can change how you view your life. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we were created in Christ Jesus for a divine purpose: to do good works that God has already prepared in advance for us. That means the path of purpose isn’t something we have to invent—it’s something we are called to discover and walk in, step by step, with Him.

These “good works” are not always grand or visible to others. Sometimes they look like extending grace to a difficult coworker, showing kindness to a stranger, or faithfully serving your family. The beauty of God’s plan is that nothing done in love and obedience to Him is wasted. God doesn’t just give you tasks—He equips you with the Spirit, renews your heart, and gives you opportunities. The challenge is to listen, stay open, and move in faith, even when the way isn’t clear.

Your calling is not just about what you do, but who you become in Christ as you walk out what God already set in motion. Let today be a reminder: you are prepared, positioned, and empowered to do the good works He designed for you.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for making me Your masterpiece. I confess that at times I feel unqualified, unsure, or unaware of what You’re calling me to do. Give me a willing heart to obey, even in small things. Remind me that my identity is secure in You—not in what I accomplish, but in who You’ve made me to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
