“Fully Equipped”
Scripture: Ephesians 4:11-12

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:"

Devotion:
God never calls without equipping. In Ephesians 4:11–12, we see that Jesus, after His resurrection and ascension, distributed gifts to His church—not randomly, but purposefully. He appointed leaders, teachers, evangelists, and others with one goal in mind: to fully equip His people for works of service. The equipping is both complete and perfecting. In other words, God isn’t just giving us tools—we are being shaped, developed, and matured for the very assignments He's prepared for us. We are called to serve, to build up the body, and to reflect His character and truth in the world.

Every believer has a role in the kingdom of God. Your pastor, teacher, or mentor may be part of your equipping, but the ultimate purpose is for you to be released into the work God has for you. Whether that’s encouraging the brokenhearted, leading in worship, teaching children, or sharing Christ in your workplace, you have been given what you need. You are not inadequate. You are fully equipped—by God Himself and for His glory.

Prayer:
God, thank You for the leaders, mentors, and teachers You’ve placed in our lives to help us grow in faith and effectiveness. Strengthen me where I feel weak, and remind me that You’ve already placed within me what I need to do Your will. Equip me, perfect me, and send me—so that I may build up Your body and glorify Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
