“Greater Works”
Scripture: John 14:12, NIV

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father..” ‬‬

Devotion:
Jesus lets the people know that their faith in Him will allow them to do greater works because He is returning to the Father. We know Jesus healed, cast out demons, taught with authority, raised the dead, and performed many miracles. Jesus did so many great and wonderful things that the Bible says that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written about them. Now with that being said, Jesus said if we BELIEVE in HIM then we could do the works He did and even greater. The key to greater works is tied to our faith in Jesus. We have to believe Him at His word. He has empowered us with the gift of the Holy Ghost so that through His power and might and our obedience to Him we can let the world know that Jesus saves to the utmost. We can’t just rely on the past miracles, signs, and wonders that we have seen as testimonies, but we must by faith believe God for the greater works today.

Prayer:
Lord, help our faith in You be sure. Help us be obedient to what You have called us to do. And help us seek You for greater works. Amen.
