“Leap for Joy!”
 Scripture: Luke 6:23
 
 "Rejoice ye in that day, leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.”
 
Devotion:
How many of us enjoy going through or get excited about the wilderness and valley experiences we face? I am sure we can attest to the fact that it is difficult to rejoice in situations that bring us physical, emotional, or spiritual suffering. However, by faith we know that even in the midst of those situations we still endure them from a position of victory because of what Jesus did for us. He crucified everything we would ever face on the cross so that we could walk in victory. Today’s scripture lets us know we should rejoice and leap for joy when people mistreat us for the sake of Christ. There are people who won’t like us, talk to us, or treat us right all because we are Christians. Instead of trying to figure them out or pay them back, we should love and pray for them and rejoice in the Lord because our reward will be great in heaven. I strongly believe that everything we have endured in this life was not to break or destroy us but to build and strengthen our faith in God, to let us know nothing is impossible for Him! Leap for joy, because you have the victory!
           
Prayer:
Lord, help us rejoice in You always. Help us stand in victory and rejoice even when people are against us for Your sake. We trust You, Lord, and we give You all the praise, glory, and honor. Amen.
