"From Mourning to Majesty"
Scripture: Esther 8:15, NKJV

“So Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a great crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple; and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.”

Devotion:
Just chapters before, Mordecai sat in sackcloth outside the king’s gate, grieving the impending destruction of his people. Now, he steps out clothed in royal splendor. That shift isn’t just a fashion upgrade—it’s the visible evidence of divine justice and unexpected favor.

This verse invites us to believe in divine turnarounds. When God acts, dignity replaces disgrace, and joy erupts from places where despair once ruled. The rejoicing of the city wasn’t just about Mordecai—it was about restoration for an entire people.

It reminds us: God doesn’t just rescue; He restores with beauty and honor.

Today’s Challenge:
Reflect on a time when God turned something around for you. Share that testimony with someone, it might be the hope they need to keep believing in their own reversal.

Prayer:
Lord, You are the God of reversals. You take what’s broken and lift it into glory. Help me trust You in seasons of sorrow, knowing You are working for joy and justice. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
