"Lifted by Joy"
Scripture: Psalm 86:4, NKJV

“Rejoice the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.”
 
Devotion:
This verse is a humble request from a weary heart: “Make me glad again.” David isn’t seeking external change—he’s asking for an inward renewal. The joy he desires isn’t rooted in circumstances but in communion with God.

To “lift up your soul” is to expose your deepest thoughts, fears, and hopes to the One who truly understands. It’s the gesture of a servant laying down burdens at their Master’s feet, trusting that joy will rise where surrender begins.

If your soul feels heavy today, this verse is an invitation to lift it—not in your own strength, but in the direction of grace.

Today’s Challenge:
Pause for five minutes of stillness. No distractions, no agenda—just lifting your soul in silence. And if the tears come, let them. That too is worship.

Prayer:
Lord, I lift my soul to You—my thoughts, my weariness, my longing. You see me fully. Please restore my joy, not just in life, but in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
