“Rejoice in the Lord Always!”
 Scripture: Psalm 40:16

“Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.”

Devotion:
This verse expresses the joy and praise that comes from seeking and finding God. It's a reminder that when we sincerely seek God's presence, His help, and His salvation, we should experience joy and be filled with gladness. When we declare that "The Lord is great!" we are showing our gratitude for who He is and what He has done for us personally or for others that we love.

When we read this verse, it might be a good time for us to think about how God's greatness has been evident in our lives, and how we can express joy and praise. Maybe it's in moments of personal trial, when He has been our refuge and help. Or maybe it's because of His unfailing love, forgiveness, and the countless blessings we experience each day. God is great, and He deserves our rejoicing. Even when circumstances seem difficult, we can still declare His greatness because we know that His love and power are greater than anything we face.

The Lord is the source of our joy and the reason for our praise.  It is not enough for us to read about His goodness, but we are to praise Him for His wonderous mighty acts and all that He has blessed us with.

Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your greatness! Help us to never stop declaring Your goodness toward us and to always give You the Glory, Honor and Praise that only You deserve. Thank you for being our rock and our salvation. Let others see Your greatness in us, and cause them to draw closer to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
