“Praise God”
Scripture: Psalm 9:2
 
“I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.”
 
Devotion:
There is something about lifting up the name of the Lord. When we praise and worship God, we show Him just how much He means to us. We show Him He is bigger than our worries, bigger than our problems, and bigger than our lack. We show Him we are truly relying and trusting in Him alone. Throughout the years, I have learned that the more I seek God and stay in His presence, the more He reveals Himself to me in a personal way.

It is a blessing to know that we can go to God any time of day and seek His face. The more we seek Him and stay in His presence, the stronger we get. It is amazing to know that when we draw near to God, He will draw near to us (James 4:8). That is why we can’t ever stop praising and worshiping God. He dwells in the midst of our praise. Therefore, we must rebuke and deny the distractions and temptations that the old dirty devil sends our way to cause us to lose faith, and we must press in more to the presence of our Father. Praise is not only what we were created to do, but it is a powerful weapon against the lies and deceptive tactics of the enemy.

Prayer: 
God, we give You all the glory and the praise. We lift Your name on high; we worship and adore You. Help us praise and continually seek You. Amen.
