“A Joy That No One Can Take”
Scripture: John 16:22, NIV

"So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you."

Devotion:
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples just before His crucifixion, preparing them for the sorrow they would feel. But He also reassured them—His resurrection would bring a joy that could never be taken away. This promise remains for us today. No matter what trials we face, the joy we have in Christ is eternal. It isn’t based on circumstances but on the unshakable truth that He lives and reigns forever.

Application:

• Hold onto eternal joy—remind yourself that Christ’s victory secures your future.
• Trust in His promises—even in sorrow, His presence will bring restoration.
• Celebrate resurrection life—Jesus conquered death, and that truth gives lasting hope.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for a joy that cannot be taken away. When life brings sorrow, help me to remember that Your presence remains. Strengthen my heart and fill me with the peace of knowing You have overcome. Amen.
