“A Song from the Soul”
Scripture: Luke 1:46-47

“And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour."

Devotion:
When Mary spoke these words, she was a young, humble woman facing an uncertain future. She had just received news that would change her life and history forever. And how did she respond? With Worship! She didn’t begin with fear or doubt; No, she began with praise: “My soul doth magnify the Lord.” Her worship was more than words; it was part of who she was. Even though she did not fully understand what her future held, she trusted God enough to rejoice. Mary’s song is a reminder to us that joy is not based on our circumstances, but on our Lord who is all faithful, powerful, and our personal Savior.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to glorify You with my whole soul, just as Mary did. In all my life’s circumstances, whether I understand the path or not, let my heart rejoice in You, my Savior. Give me grace to trust, to praise, and to magnify Your holy name in all things. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
