"Surrounded by His Presence"
Scripture: Zephaniah 3:17
 
"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."

Devotion:
During our most quiet moments in life, when doubt creeps in and we feel unworthy or forgotten and lonely, this Scripture can remind us that God delights in us. It lets us know that God stands with us and is always near to protect and comfort us. His presence isn’t just near to us, but God is active and affectionately working in our lives. We are reminded by Zephaniah in this verse that God rejoices over us with joy. He takes pleasure in caring for us, His children.  Zephaniah prophesied of this promise during a time of rebellion and judgment. It’s a reminder that God’s love isn't based on our perfection, It's based on His nature.  He loves us even when we fail!  When the enemy tries to make you believe that you are alone, that you are not loved, recall this truth to your mind; you are deeply loved, cherished, and never alone, because God is always with you!

Prayer:
Thank You Lord for Your unwavering presence, grace, power and love for me.
Thank You for rejoicing over me with singing. Help me today to rest assured, trusting that You love me and that You cover and protect me even during my time of brokenness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
