“Covered by His Love”
Scripture: Isaiah 61:10

"I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels."

Devotion:
Have you ever stopped and thought, “What an Awesome God I serve?”  I have had so many instances when I was able to show my gratitude for how awesome He has been to me.  He is my Savior, provider, protector, way maker, burden barer, healer, source of my strength, lover of my soul, and the list goes on…...  Think about it! What is HE to You?  It is important that we have a personal relationship with God. As we walk with Him and talk with Him, He will be to you what You allow Him to be!  This Scripture in Isaiah describes how much joy and gratitude is shown for the salvation and righteousness provided by God. The jewels give us a picture of the beauty, value and preparation for the very important relationship we should have with God; just as a bride passionately dresses herself with precious stones for her wedding day. We are to rejoice in God knowing that we are covered by His love!
 
Prayer:
Father, I come before You with joy and thanksgiving in my heart. I am so grateful to you for all that You have done for me.  You have clothed me with the garments of salvation and wrapped me in the robe of righteousness. Thank You for choosing me and making me new. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
