“It’s Another Day!”
Scripture: Psalm 118:24 KJV

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Devotion:
There’s a familiar congregational song with lyrics that say, “It’s another day, that the Lord has kept me.” These lyrics relate beautifully with today’s text. Each day that we wake up, is another day that God has made just for us. Whether it is a good day, or a character building day, we must change our perspectives, find joy in every situation, and be glad about it. This declarative text reminds us that it’s the Lord who is our ultimate creator, crafting a new day that we have never seen before. When we consider it from this perspective, it gives us a glimpse into the care and intentionality of God, that He carefully orchestrates each day for us and allows us the opportunity to wake up. The least we can do is delight in a new day and have great happiness in that.

Prayer:
Great God, You are the ultimate Creator. We thank You for crafting each day just for us to serve and magnify Your Holy Name. We must always find joy and be glad in each day that we are blessed to experience. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
