“Do It All In Jesus’ Name”
Scripture: Colossians 3:17 KJV
 
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
 
Devotion:
We are not the CIA. Sometimes, we act as if we are double agents – living our natural life and living our spiritual lives. I am here to tell you today to stop it. Stop disconnecting your job, schoolwork, chores, and conversations from God. God is a part of everything we do! Paul is telling the church that everything we do should be an act of worship to God. I know you may be scratching your head but think about Proverbs 3:6 – “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”. All does not mean when we feel like it, it means when we wake up in the morning, what should we wear, what should we listen to, who should we talk to, what should we cook, etc. All things! The same holds true for our lives, whatever we are doing should be bringing God glory – how we talk to people, having integrity at work, forgiving others, serving others, it is all for the glory of God in Jesus’ name.
As we close this month of reflection, take a moment to look back. Are you living your life in the name of Jesus? Is your speech reflective of giving thanks? Do you seek to serve others as Jesus did? If not and you are listening to this devotion, it’s not too late. Do all things in the name of Jesus to bring glory to God.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for helping me to live my life according to Your name. Help all that I do continue to bring You glory, honor and praise. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
