“Perfect Peace”
Scripture: John 14:27 NIV

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
 
Devotion:
If there was ever a time we needed God’s peace, it would be today. There is so much going on around us, so many distractions sent to hinder our focus on God. Nevertheless, God’s sovereign power is real, and He is still in control. As children of God we can’t let fear and panic guide our actions or emotions, we must stand on the Word of God. We don’t have to be troubled nor afraid if our hope is built up, tied up, and wrapped up in Jesus. In the midst of the storms of life we can lay down and sleep in perfect peace. We know our anchor and source is Jesus. Salvation guarantees us peace, we just have to tap into the power of God. I don’t know what’s weighing you down, but I dare you to open up your mouth and decree and declare the peace of God over your mind, life, spouse, children, job, finances, anything or anyone attached to you. Speak peace and rest in the assurance that God is working all things out for your good!

Prayer: 
God, thank You for filling our hearts and minds with Your perfect peace. Help us to place our faith, hope, and trust in You and not in what we see happening around us. Amen.
