"Walk Cautiously"
Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-16

"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

Devotion:
Paul’s words in this Scripture are to remind to us to live intentionally-according to God’s plan.  While we live in a world filled with distractions, temptations, and evil spirits, we must walk carefully, considering the circumstances before we act or speak, not as fools. We have to be reminded as children of God that we are in the world but not of this evil, non-God fearing world.  Our actions should be that of thoughtfulness, and not of selfishness; considering what is right in God’s sight, and doing IT!  It is not enough for us to have Godly wisdom, but we have to always strive to live our lives determined to please Him.  Paul also tells us of the urgency of time. He lets us know that the days are evil.  Every moment is a gift and an opportunity for us to show the love of God and to serve our brothers and sisters.  We are called to let our lights shine and live a purpose-driven life; A life that will compel others in this dark world to seek the Lord.
 
Prayer:  
Father we thank You for Your wisdom and ask that You help us to walk circumspectly and not as fools, but wisely.  We ask that You give us Your wisdom to not waste time, knowing that the days are evil.  Give us the mind to let every moment count for Your glory, and help us to live a life that honors You.  In Jesus’ Name we pray.  Amen.
