"Choices Have Consequences"
Scripture: Galatians 6:7

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Devotion:
In this Scripture, Paul warns the Galatians about the consequences of their actions.  He wanted them to be aware that whatever they put out will be returned; whether it is good or bad.

We will also reap the fruits of our choices.  We have to be in tune with the reality of cause and effect in life.  If we choose to live a life of sin, we can surely expect to experience a life of brokenness and pain. If we sow evil, we will reap evil, however if we sow love, truth and righteousness, we will reap blessings and spiritual growth. Not only does this pertain to living to this world, but how we live now will determine how we will spend eternity.   We must remember that our choices have consequences and that we are responsible for the fruit of our actions. Galatians 5:22-23 gives us the Fruit of the Spirit, which says, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. So let’s always consider the way we live our lives, how we treat others, and how we represent our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
Lord we ask that You will help us to live a life that honors You.  Help us to be kind, faithful and true.  Keep us mindful that our actions have lasting impact, and give us strength to walk in Your Spirit on a daily basis.  In Jesus’ name. Amen
