“To the Rescue!”
Scripture: Psalm 34:6

“This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.”

Devotion:
As a child, I was infatuated with superheroes such as Batman, Superman, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. No matter what was going on, whenever there was a situation involving a villain and a victim, the victim would let out a blood-curdling scream/cry. When that happened, the superheroes would drop everything and make their way to save the day. I was always amazed at how quickly they would arrive on the scene to save the victims. What the superheroes were doing at the time wasn’t as important as the victims. This reminds me of our Father. Whenever we cry out to Him, He drops everything and comes to our rescue! He is THE ULTIMATE SUPERHERO! This Scripture is an important reminder that our God is always ready, willing, and able to hear our cry for help and rescue us from all of our troubles!

Prayer:
Father God, we thank You for how much You care for us. You are always ready to deliver and make us free. Help us to remember that You are close to us and ready to rescue us from all our troubles. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
