“Teach Me, O Lord”
Scripture: Psalm 25:5

“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”

Devotion:
In this heartfelt verse, David humbly asks the Lord to be his guide and teacher. He acknowledges that true direction and understanding can only come from God—the One who saves. “Lead me in thy truth” is more than a request for knowledge; it's a plea to walk in the ways of righteousness, grounded in the unchanging truth of God's Word. In a world full of distractions and shifting values, we too must ask God to lead us along His steady, faithful path.

David’s declaration, “on thee do I wait all the day,” speaks of a patient and trusting heart. Waiting on God is not passive; it's active faith. It means leaning into His presence, expecting His guidance, and believing He will come through in His perfect timing. As we go about our day, may we have the same posture—seeking His truth, learning from His Spirit, and resting in the assurance that our Savior leads us with love and purpose.

Prayer:
Lord, in the midst of trials, temptations, and turmoil, I know that You will lead me and guide me in the right path. Help me to stay on the path You have created and to not steer to my own thinking, agendas, or ways. May I continue to seek You in all things. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
