“Hope in the Word”
Scripture: Psalm 130:5
 
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”
 
Devotion:          
Isaiah 55:11 declares, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” The beauty of God’s Word is that His Word is alive. God’s Word will do just what He has called it to do. If He said it, it will come to pass. We can put our trust in the Word of God. We can rest in the Word of God. We can find peace and refuge in the Word of God. We can find hope in the Word of God. I could go on and on, but I’ll just sum it up by saying there is a blessing in the waiting. There is renewal and strength in the waiting, because while we are waiting, we are showing God that He can trust us not only on the mountain top but also in the wilderness experiences. We are showing God that no matter what comes our way, what weapons form, we trust and stand on His Word.

Prayer:
God, thank You for Your Word. Help us to place our faith, hope, and trust in Your Word. Amen.
