"Intentionally Chosen"
Scripture: John 15:16 NIV

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you."

Devotion:
This verse is a powerful reminder of God's intentionality in our lives. Jesus makes it clear that our relationship with Him is not by accident—we are chosen by Him. This divine calling fills our lives with purpose and a mission to bear fruit that will have eternal value.

Bearing fruit refers to a life that reflects the character of Christ, overflowing with love, joy, peace, and goodness (Galatians 5:22-23). It also involves fulfilling the good works He has prepared for us, such as sharing the Gospel and serving others. Importantly, the fruit we bear is not temporary; it has a lasting, eternal impact.

Jesus also gives a remarkable promise in this verse: when we ask in His name—aligned with His will—our prayers will be heard and answered by the Father. This promise encourages us to pray boldly and live purposefully, trusting in God's provision and guidance as we walk in His calling.
