Scriptural Reflection
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. - St. John 17:11

Devotional Thought
This is an excerpt from what is widely known as the “High Priestly Prayer”. Herein Jesus prayed for Himself, His disciples and then for those of us who would be coming along later. In the most crucial moments of Jesus’ time on earth as a man He expresses His heart for unity. Unity among believers is a powerful testimony to the world about who Jesus is and what He came to do. Unity strengthens the body of believers, enabling them to work together toward the common goal of fulfilling God's purpose in the world.

Life can be difficult, and having each other as a community offers emotional, mental, and spiritual support. In times of LIFE happening, (hardship, illness, or personal struggle,) the church provides a network of saints who can offer prayer, encouragement, and practical help through the ministry of presence.

Prayer
Lord, I ask that You unite us as one body in Christ, bound together in faith, hope, and love. Help us to set aside our differences, to embrace one another with grace, and to work together for the common good of Your kingdom. May we find peace in our hearts and in our relationships, reflecting Your love in all that we do. I pray that Your Holy Spirit will be at work in us, breaking down the walls of division and building bridges of understanding, compassion, and respect. In Jesus’ name. AMEN
