Day 12 Sunday 3/16 - Timing is Everything

Scriptural Reflection
If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them. But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the LORD hath delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us. - 1 Samuel 14:19-20

Devotional Thought
"Timing is everything" in this passage because Saul realized that waiting any longer to act could be detrimental. The timing of God's intervention through the chaos in the Philistine camp was a moment when Saul needed to act swiftly, and he responded decisively. In this passage, we see how important it is to recognize when God is leading us to move and when waiting for His timing can lead to victory.
It teaches us that there are moments in life when action is required, but it also highlights the necessity of discerning when the time is right. In our own lives, we must be attuned to God's voice and the situations around us, understanding that timing is a key factor in experiencing God's perfect will.

Timing in our lives can often make the difference between success and failure. When we are aligned with God’s will, He will guide us on when to act and when to wait. Trusting in His perfect timing helps us avoid rushing ahead of Him or dragging our feet in moments of opportunity.

Prayer
Lord you know better than I do what is in store for my life. Give me the wisdom to be patient, the heart to trust Your timing and the obedience to move swiftly at your direction. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
