“Strength in Unity”
Scripture: Romans 15:6 NIV

“So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Devotion:
There is strength in numbers. There is power in unity. The enemy knows this, so one of his biggest ploys in families, churches, communities, jobs, etc. is to divide and then conquer. He loves to isolate people and make them feel like they are all alone and no one cares about them. Then he pounces on their minds and starts his barrage of lies to beat them down. That is why families are divided, divorce rates soar, people leave jobs bitter, communities remain in lack, and people leave churches. But God! The Word of God teaches us that two are better than one, that iron sharpens iron, and that God is present when two or three gather in His name. We are better together.

I believe that when we, the people of God, unify and truly represent the body of Christ contrary to denominational affiliations, ethnicities, and religious man-made traditions, we can truly do some damage to the old, nasty, stinking devil. There is a spiritual war going on, and we can’t be caught up in the distractions of this world or move like it is business as usual. We can’t give in to the fear tactics of the enemy. This is not the time for us to be caught up in our own selfish agendas. It is time for the true worshippers and believers to stand for God, flat-footed and unafraid! We need to be found on one accord, united and obeying God’s purpose for our lives. We must, in unity and love, pray, study God’s Word, and seek Him daily.
           
Prayer:
God, help us unify in love, peace, and joy so that we can walk according to the purpose You have for our lives.
