“The Gift of Love”
Scripture: John 3:16 (NIV)

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Devotion:
John 3:16 is one of the most well-known verses in the Bible, and for good reason—it encapsulates the depth of God's love for humanity. This single verse reveals the heart of the gospel: God's love is sacrificial, inclusive, and eternal.

When we read "God so loved the world," we are reminded that His love is not limited to any one group but extends to every person, regardless of background, race, or status. His love moved Him to action—He gave His Son, Jesus, to live, die, and rise again for our redemption. This was not an obligation, but a choice rooted in perfect love.

Believing in Jesus means more than intellectual agreement; it’s about trusting Him with your whole heart. Through faith, we step into a relationship with God and receive the promise of eternal life—a life that begins now and lasts forever.

Application:
Today, take a moment to thank God for His sacrificial love. Reflect on how you can share this love with someone in need. Whether through words, acts of kindness, or prayer, let God’s love shine through you.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so deeply that You gave Your Son for my salvation. Help me to live in the light of that love, trusting in Jesus and sharing this good news with others. May my life reflect Your grace and love to those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
