“Invited Guest”
Scripture: Matthew 22:2-3

“The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.”

Devotion:
Most of us know that a wedding is a great time of festive celebration. Just imagine you have prepared a wedding for your child, and you’ve sent out all the invitations to the guests, and nobody comes. This is what happened in the scriptures. The king was so upset that he had his servants to tell all who were able to please come, just so the house would be filled for the wedding. God sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to the world so that we can have an opportunity to be connected to the Father, and that's worth celebrating.

Too often, people are so busy with their lives that they don't take time to accept Christ. So, we the ones who have accepted Him, have to go out and compel men to come to Him. We can't look at how they look, how they dress or where they live. We can't think that God doesn't have time for them. It's not our decision to make, God wants all souls to come to Him so they may have eternal life.

Prayer:
Father, we thank You, that You did not give up on us when You reached out to us after we may have turned our backs on You the first time. Help us to have patience with others when we have to go to them multiple times before they are won over to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
