“My House, Your House”
Scripture: Nehemiah 8:10

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Devotion:
I believe this is where we get our tradition of going out to eat after church on Sunday as a form of celebration. We have to remember it's a holy day unto the Lord. And if your sister or brother doesn't have, we share with them what we have. We draw strength from one another, knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Prayer:
As we pray together and worship together, we can also fellowship together, knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Father, thank You for helping us to be mindful of those who have not, so that we may share with one another. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
