“Let Us Rejoice”
Scripture: Romans 12:15 AMP

“Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief]”.

Devotion:
Romans 12:15 shows us that we should rejoice with those who have good things going on and also empathize with those who are going through. Giving God thanks in the good times is easy; however, sometimes when we are going through or someone we know or love is going through, it can be easy to get down on God. Every day something should remind you of God’s goodness, even when there seems to be nothing good going on. There could be bad news after bad news coming your way like Job, but through it all, we must trust and depend on God to bring us through, knowing it will be for our good. The songwriter says, “weeping may endure for a night, BUT joy comes in the morning.” Saints of God, let us rejoice for the morning, where we are granted new mercies and additional love from our Father in heaven. Let us rejoice even in grief and sorrow; knowing that God knows best and He is in control. #IBELIEVEGOD!!!

As we continue expressing our gratitude to God for His many blessings, think on a time when He has been good to you and then think on a time when He brought You through. We should rejoice in both those times, because God is always faithful and He promises to never leave us nor forsake us – that’s a place to rejoice right there.
 
Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for the good times and the bad times. Help me to understand that Your will is perfect and to remember to rejoice in every situation or circumstance. Help me to rejoice with others and continue to be a shining light to all I come into contact with. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
