“Remembering God's Deliverance”
Scripture: Exodus 12:14

“And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.”

Devotion:
Exodus 12:14 reminds us of the importance of remembering and celebrating God's faithfulness. This verse follows God's instructions to Israel about the Passover, a monumental event marking their deliverance from slavery in Egypt. The Passover wasn't just a one-time event; it was to be remembered every year as a feast to the Lord. It was a way for future generations to understand the power of God and His ability to save.

Today, this same principle applies to us. While we may not celebrate Passover in the traditional sense, we are called to remember God's ultimate act of deliverance through Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. His sacrifice sets us free from the bondage of sin, and through Him, we have the promise of eternal life. Just as the Israelites were instructed to commemorate their salvation, we too are called to remember and give thanks for God's grace and mercy.

Application:
Take time today to reflect on moments when God has delivered or provided for you. Write them down as a personal "memorial" and thank Him for His faithfulness. If possible, share one of these stories with someone to encourage their faith.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your great acts of deliverance throughout history and in my life. Help me to remember Your faithfulness and to celebrate the freedom You’ve given me through Jesus Christ. May my life be a testimony to future generations of Your saving power and unending love. Amen.
