“Glory Belongs to God!”
Scripture: I Corinthians 10:30-31

“For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

Devotion:
As believers, we were created to glorify God in all that we do.  Paul wrote in these scriptures to the Corinthians that everything that they do or choose not to do should be motivated to bring God glory.  We are to consider the food that we eat and the beverages we drink when in the presence of others.  We do not want to appear as those idol worshipers mentioned earlier in this chapter who ate foods which were sacrificed to idols, causing others to fall. As ambassadors of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are to perform in such a manner that other people will be positively affected through our actions. We should be glorifying God when we are with our families, loving and serving each other; on our jobs, working diligently - thanking God for providing employment; even at the grocery store, maybe paying it forward for someone else in need. We are given the opportunity, and we should ask the Spirit to lead us, to honor God every moment of our lives.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for giving us a heart to glorify You.  We pray that as we go about our day, that everything we do, every place we go, and all that we say to the people You allow us to encounter, will bring glory to Your name.  In Jesus’ name we Pray.  Amen
